To much hype and news around the world the Apple iPad was unveiled this week. To reach an eye grabbing price point the entry level WI-FI model will hit the US market at just $499 with Australian prices yet to be announced.
With free public wi-fi network access quite limited in Australia the 3G iPad with fullwill offer the best option for those who wish to browse on the go.
As the very nature of the product is to be portable it makes sense to be able to use the product outside of the home. None of the Australian networks have commented yet but it is likely than many networks will create data plans for the product and may even create plans that include the product as part of a 24 month contract.
From the videos online and reports so far this week it would seem that the iPad does live up to the claim of offering one of the best mobile broadband browsing experiences available.
